GrowWithHR · Evidence & Sources

How Organization Structure recommendations are grounded

Every Organization Structure finding separates two things: the free/public source that supports the organization-design principle, and the versioned GrowWithHR rule that interprets your company facts. This lets a user see what is recommending an action and what GrowWithHR itself inferred.

GrowWithHR Organization Structure Assessment Framework

The framework is a free public methodology. GrowWithHR uses deterministic rules rather than an AI model to decide the structural status shown in a finding.

Public sources do not endorse GrowWithHR. They support underlying organization-design principles; GrowWithHR remains responsible for its disclosed interpretation.

Important guardrail disclosure

Where a finding uses a numeric watch or action guardrail, the report identifies it as a GrowWithHR prototype rule unless a public source actually publishes that value. A ratio is never presented as a universal industry benchmark merely because it is convenient.

How to read a finding: “Basis & Sources” shows the exact rule ID/version, how GrowWithHR applied it, and the free/public source that supports the underlying principle. The source and GrowWithHR interpretation are intentionally separate.
Management capacity

Why GrowWithHR asks about the work — not only the ratio

The contextual management-capacity rule uses employee/manager span together with manager role, work complexity, work standardization, team independence, required interaction/coaching and location context. This direction is grounded in free OpenStax material describing span-of-control factors such as task complexity, worker location, delegation, interaction and workforce capability. The resulting Stable/Watch/Action guardrails remain GrowWithHR prototype rules.

The source library uses publicly accessible material. OpenStax sources are available under CC BY 4.0; the UK Government sources use the Open Government Licence v3.0; CIPD is linked as a free public professional reference with copyright retained by CIPD.

What GrowWithHR does not claim

Organization Structure does not score people, judge individual manager capability, recommend dismissals, determine compensation, decide legal applicability, or claim that a public source prescribed GrowWithHR's prototype guardrails. The result is structural guidance based on the facts supplied and the disclosed versioned rule set.
